About Us

Founded in 1979 by Gary Leffke, Au.D., Virginia Audiology was the third independent private audiology practice in Virginia and the first in Southside Tidewater. From the very first day, our commitment has been to provide the amplification that best meets each patient's individual needs. Since we are completely independent and not a franchised brand, we are able to constantly evaluate technology from many manufacturers like Siemens, Lyric, Starkey, Resound, Phonak, Rexton, Widex and others. Our experience includes over 20,000 hearing aids fitted from virtually all of the major manufacturers. We specialize in providing adult hearing health care.

All of our audiologists are licensed in Virginia by both the Audiology Board and also the Hearing Aid Specialist Board and are certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.

Each audiologist is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
